This excursion starts at the Houses of S’Alqueria and passes through two of the most emblematic places in Artà: the Betlem hermitage and the Bec de Ferrutx peak.
The excursion starts within the Llevant Nature Park and leaves the Houses of S’Alqueria Vella. Although there is some incline (the peak of Bec de Ferrutx lies 528 metres above sea level), the ascent is gradual, does not require any great effort and can be combined with stops, such as the one at Na Bernadeta spring.
Walkers should be aware that this route passes through a large game reserve called Na Carro, where feral goats are hunted.
The types of vegetation along this route are fundamentally scrubland, pine woods and reed beds.
This route has been taken from the collection of excursions prepared and published by the hiking group "Un raig d’Artanencs".
