Peter Hohenald's paintings seem to bridge the aesthetic gap between consciousness and concreteness.

What we imagine, what we feel and what we think about is never allowed to be confined in the tiny shelter of reality. In paintings painted in light and warm colors, mental energy is transformed into organic forms that seem to be touchable.

In the concrete moment of contemplation, one is conscious of this energy and at the same moment one falls into the abyss between the things perceived in our real world and the spirituality of our consciousness.
