Can Cardaix is a traditional urban manor house. Dominating the whole square, it is a building from the 17th century located next to the Town Hall that during the 19th century suffered several modifications, incorporating different Neoclassical elements. A three storey building with a facade outstanding for the large volume and size of its windows. Other elements are the portal crowned with a pediment, the family coat of arms, the large Ionic pilasters, the round arches flanking the portal and the architectural drawing that frames the facade. On its side we find the old cart portal, which gives access to the courtyard. Currently, the building houses the headquarters of the Fundació Aina Maria Lliteres and the courtyard works as a restaurant.
